uhh, Star? I'm not illegal, no one in my family is or has ever been, my grandparents have never even been to Mexico, I may be wrong here depending on your ancestry, but I bet my family has been in the US longer than yours, so why did you direct me to your posts against illegal immigrants, mainly Mexicans I see? Are you just against the Mexican illegals or all illegals?

My original commenr was a remark regarding systematic racism...people who bitch about minorities using the race card are merely uttering cliches, what is the substance behind those remarks? It would be nice to hear or read someone comment on that in a thoughtful manner...when I get the time I'm going to do a post on systematic racism on my blog.

And for the record, I have never had a free ride for anything nor has anyone I know, I don't live on handouts, welfare or foodstamps, I have had a job since I was 16 and I worked fulltime while going to college full time, other than 4 or 5 merit based scholarships that I received for having a high GPA, not for being Mexican. How has my Mexicaness helped me so far in life? I'm good looking and have nice hair and skin tone, good looks never got me anywhere in life. I know alot of Mexicans, work with alot of Mexicans and have a great deal of repect for them, they are all hardworking, intelligent, decent and kind people, they are family oriented and sincere, humble and honest.

Okay, I kind of lost my temper there, I deleted a few bad words and insults cause I'm trying to give that up and focus on the positive instead of the negative. Hope you don't mind Star!

I honestly didn't send u over there purposely, I left links 2 it all Monday! U were just the only comment here!
I luv everyone, just people NEED 2 come to the United States LEGALLY!
That's the bottom line, there's nothing else 2 it.
...as far as the pics...,
Thats just what was on line! ;]

I talk 2 other people from different countries all day,
and many are coming 2 the United States, ...BUT... they R waiting in line, like everyone else. You have 2 have rules in a society, or SOCIETY ITSELF doesn't work!
If LAWS are NOT Upheld, what is the point of LAWS in the
1st. Place?

Yeah, if you want to post derogatory pictures of Mexicans wearing silly ass sombreros and ponchos and looking ignorant thats your business, if it amuses you to ridicule desperate human beings by posting pictures of them trying to climb over fences to get into this country etc, well again that's your business,I do have to question your sense of compassion and humanitarianism,of course you don't have to answer,it's your blog, post what you like. It's one thing to come down on the side of following the rules and regulations of our immigration policies, it's quite another to degrade your fellow man. But hey, that's just my opinion.

"Once California belonged to Mexico and it's land to the Mexicans; and a horde of tattered feverish Americans poured in. And such was their hunger for land that they took the land-stole Sutter's land, Guerrero's land, took the grants and broke them up and growled and querreled over them, those frantic hungry men; and they guarded with guns the land they had stolen. They put up houses and barns, they turned the earth and planted crops. And these things were possession, and possession was ownership.
"The Mexicans were weak and fled. They could not resist because they wanted nothing in the world as frantically as the Americans wanted land"-John Steinbeck "The Grapes of Wrath," 1939

Sounds like the situation in reverse huh? Grapes of Wrath is a work of fiction, but history rings true...

Grapes of Wrath is a work of fiction------

Hon, the key word here is
F I C T I O N--

AMERICA PURCHASED CALIFORNIA
FROM MEXICO--- check your history!

I'm sorry Mexico cheats their CITIZENS, but, they need to stay in their OWN LAND and take that up with MEXICO'S GOVERNMENT---

N O T - O U R S !

If people from another land want to live in the U.S.---they could of and should of COME HERE LEGALLY!

How DARE Mexicans march in MY Country waving Mexico's Flag!

THAT is an act of WAR!---

How Dare Mexicans fly the U.S. FLAG- U P S I D E D O W N !!!

How Dare Mexicans CHANGE our
NATIONAL ANTHEM--and then sing it in SPANISH!

They WANT Citizenship---

LET THEM GO 2 MEXICO --
BE A CITIZEN THERE!

and if they want 2 come live in
the United States of America--

Let Them Come L E G A L L Y !!!

As far as the comment--derogatory pictures of Mexicans wearing silly ass sombreros and ponchos and looking ignorant goes----

They are the ones who showed up looking like that! I didn't even take the pictures! You are fighting a LOST CAUSE!

My Husband is 100% full Blooded Mexican-- He is here LEGALLY---
and he is a United States Marine!
He feels the EXACT SAME WAY that I do. Those Illegals just don't know HOW LUCKY they are that my Husband didn't see them fly our Flag
UPSIDE-DOWN
, the war would have started RIGHT THEN AND THERE!

I understand you're pissed, Star, but those are surface arguments,(justifiable ones), what I am saying is that there is another way to look at this situation, we can get all worked up, let our tempers flare and start a flipping war, but what would that solve?. I'm not saying I agree with illegal immigration, I think I said that a few times already so we can put that to rest, what I said was instead of ridiculing desperate people (whether they be Mexican, Arab or Chinese), maybe, just maybe instead of being reactionary we could find some way to solve this problem using COMPASSION and CONCERN for the well being of others, maybe some compromise can be reached that will be mutually beneficial. I'm not fighting a lost cause Star, my cause is not an immigration cause, illegal immigration is just a catalyst to help us begin to examine the deeper issues at work here, my cause is fighting worldwide poverty and lack of education. I don't want to play the "bible card" here, but I received a quarterly magazine from Worldvision (a charity I sponsor), it painted a vivid picture of the poverty that grips our world, there was a scripture quote in the mag that caught my eye "If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear Children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and truth"-1 John 3:17-18. Now I know these comments we post here on your blog mean nothing on a national scale, or even a world wide scale, I'm just saying, between me and you, there is a better way to view situations like these, I see them as a wake up call and an opportunity to effect much needed change in the world. If people need and are asking for help, we should do our best to help and to find solutions, and no I'm not talking about free this or that.

I'm not pissed hun, confused fits it so much better.
There is a thin line between "Needy" and "Greedy"
and it is very difficult
to make the judgement call between them.

If people want 2 win the hearts of Americans, They must first open their hearts 2 us.

I would NEVER dream of going to a different Country to live, and then getting there and DEMAND and THREATEN my way into their Society.

I would have 2 expect 2 B shot at that point!
