For thebluechild, I would agree with traffic being terrible in Dubai. When we drove through Sharjah on a Friday in 2004, a mosque started wailing and traffic stopped when people jumped out of their cars (in the middle of the street) and ran to the mosque. They returned to their cars 5 minutes later!!! I take it that traffic is unusually bad in Sharjah on Fridays.
Do the blue child and Dan C work in Sharjah ?
tell these guys not to mess wid the muslims, they take their Namaz very seriously

there are quite a few muslim restaurants in India and at the call for Namaz at 1230 pm (peak hours of biz), they down the shutters and go and kiss the ground and raise their asses in the air in the direction of Mecca
